Someone’s grocery list?
But what good is enscribing it here, on the wall,
and then when you go to shop,
your list will be here
and your cart will be out there in Aisle 12 next to the canned beets?
Perhaps it’s no one’s list
But rather, a commentary on what is essential
That’s it, a declaration of the items most needed,
Here in Kroger as we anticipate
the storm of the century
or maybe it will just be a dusting of flurries and shortly vanish away
But the list will stay here
and remind someone else after me
